Modern fairy tale interpretation with Virtus Power

Julie Gaston turns her film "Haensel", into a modern interpretation of the fairy tale "Haensel and Gretel" by the Brothers Grimm. The nine-minute film (director Ammar Mahdavi) is her graduation project. For six months, the 21-year-old has been working on the idea and script. The story is about the eleven-year-old boy Marvin, who is being abused by his mother. The film deals with the topic of child abuse, trauma and processing of violence, but it does not judge, Gaston said. The camera operator Robert Bogs, also known as “Pixeldieb” is operating a RED Scarlet camera. Also on the set - the Virtus Power of ACSE GmbH. In a review on facebook the camera operator from Mannheim writes:
For our last production of Virtus was made available to us. This power distributor ( for V-Mount or Anton Bauer batteries) is absolutely great! Not only it saves power by a clever mechanism (20% less consumption // Virtus in RED Scarlet + monitor against Tilta BT-003 V Mount battery plate + NP-F battery), it is also versatile in fast flexible mounting. For cameras which have been powered with this smart power distributor it means: More flexible and longer working! I have tested so far: Blackmagic Design production camera 4K RED (EPIC and SCARLET), Canon EOS 5D MK III, as well as devices that can be powered with Sony NP-F batteries.
There is factual nothing that can not be powered with the Virtus! (At least camera equipment) We could change very quickly between a tripod rig, shoulder camera, steadicam and even it could be mounted on a traverse and we never had any problems with the Virtus to power further accessories with it (e.g. director’s monitor!). My only wish: Please add to the next some 1/4th or 3/8th inch holes. Top!! And many thanks for your support!
ACSE GmbH has already implemented Robert’s wish to the new version of Virtus Power.
